Wright Memorial Chapter Overview

Wright Memorial Chapter 212, Air Force Association proudly serves Wright Patterson Air Force Base, the Air Force Community and the greater Dayton area. The Chapter’s active program supports Air Force members of all ranks and grades, addresses Air Force issues in advancing aerospace technology and professional and personnel issues, and reaches out to the Dayton and Miami Valley community. The AFA Wright Memorial Chapter 212’s support across all major events, aerospace education programs, community support and other initiatives exceeds $200,000 per year! The Wright Memorial Chapter's programs cover a number of important areas including Aerospace Education and Scholarships, Community Support Programs, Advocate Programs, and others.

Advocate Programs

• The Wright Memorial Chapter is an advocate with the local community on issues that mutually affect both the local business and community environments and WPAFB.

• AFA is an advocate with our Congressional delegations, taking the message of important issues directly to our elected representatives.

• Our Community Partners program, with over 150 Community Partners, and our relationship with the Dayton and Miami Valley leadership community enhances our mission .  Periodic meetings with senior AF and AFA officials provide military insight and networking opportunities to community leaders. Hosts luncheons, dinners and social activities to acquaint WPAFB personnel and community members with timely AF topics. 

• WMC leadership is actively involved with the Dayton Development Coalition and Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs Committee

• An Executive Council Member from the Wright Memorial Chapter serves on the National Aviation Hall of Fame Executive Board.

• Members serve on the ASC/AAP Task Force for Industry and the chapter website hosts ASC’s Professional Consortium Calendar—a single source of information on important base related events for base personnel and surrounding professional community.

The AFA Wright Memorial Chapter’s mission is to support the Wright Patterson AFB community.  Please, come join us in continuing to help you.  For membership information, contact our VP of Membership. The AFA Wright Memorial Chapter Executive Council meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 11:30 AM at the Wright-Patterson AFB Club and Banquet Center.  All members and guests are welcome.
