AFMC Air Force Anniversary Ball - Silent Auction | As part of the formal AFMC Air Force Anniversary Ball on 25 August, we will again hold a Silent Auction to raise funds to help the AFA Wright Memorial Chapter support the Air Force Aide Society. To make this year a success, we are asking Air Force Association community partners to donate item(s) that will be up for bid at the Silent Auction.

Attention Wright Flyer Memorial Donors | The Wright Memorial Chapter, Air Force Association has completed the replacement of all ground level installed pavers. Ground level pavers are now a far superior granite product compared to the deteriorated original bricks. Fund raising continues. Vectren Dayton Air Show July 17-18 |
Once again the Wright Memorial Chapter will be hosting 5 Chalets at the Vectren Dayton Air Show which will be held July 17-18 2010. Chapter Members and Sponsors have the opportunity to attend this fantastic event in style. The Chalets include large air-conditioned tented food serving area, umbrella tables with chairs, and theatre seating. Full service catering, and beverages, is included.

2010 AFMC Air Force Ball and AFA Tech Symposium August 24-26 | The AFA Wright Memorial Chapter #212 is pleased to announce the
dates are set for our participation with Air Force Material Command in hosting
the Dayton Dragon's game, Air Force Ball and the AFA Technology Symposium. These
events are planned to coincide with the AFMC Senior Leaders Conference as they
have been for the past two years. The SLC attendees represent all the commanders
and senior leaders from across AFMC. Reservations have already been made at the
National Museum of the United States Air Force and the Hope Hotel and Conference
Center for the Air Force Ball and AFA Technology Symposium. The
Dayton Dragon’s Minor League baseball game has been confirmed with the Dragon’s
for 2010 Tue 24 Aug.

Dayton Air Show | Make sure you mark you calendars for this year's Dayton Air Show! The 2008 Air Show runs on both Saturday, July 19th and Sunday, July 20th. For those that might not be familiar with what the Chapter does to support the Air Show and Wright Patterson-AFB, we provide five chalets right on top of the flight line were the leadership of the base and our Corporate sponsors enjoy the Air Show up close and personnel. The chalets provide air conditioned comfort, food, and drink through out out the day and most importantly provide one heck of an up close and personnel view of the show. As a benefit to all the Wright Memorial Chapter 212 memebers you can purchase a ticket for either day for $55.00. AFA Technology Symposium

Over the last few years the AFA Wright Memorial Chapter 212 has been working to more closely involve Wright-Patterson AFB leadership in the events sponsored by
the Chapter. As a result of these efforts the Chapter would like to inform you of a brand new event, the AFA Technology Symposium, which will be held at the Hope Hotel & Banquet Center, Area A, WPAFB, OH
on Friday 26 September. This event has been coordinated with AFMC leadership to coincide with the Air Force
Materiel Command (AFMC) Senior Leadership Conference (SLC) so that participants of the AFMC SLC could be in attendance.
They represent all the commanders and senior leaders from across AFMC. The Air Force and AFA are working to provide an informative agenda for this
inaugural symposium. Speakers will include Gen
Bruce Carlson, AFMC/CC and Maj Gen Curtis Bedke, AFRL/CC. Also planned are Technology Challenges Panels
comprised of the Product Center Commanders, ALC Commanders, and Test Center Commanders. The Luncheon Heritage Speaker will be
Lt Gen Thomas Stafford, USAF Retired.
Additional speakers have been confirmed to speak on 26 Sept 08 at the AFA Technology Symposium.

AFIT Heritage Symposium | The AFIT Foundation, in co-operation with the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), will sponsor the first-ever AFIT Heritage Symposium to take place 25 and 26 September 2008 on the AFIT campus in area B of Wright-Patterson AFB.
