Air Force Magazine’s “USAF: 25 Years at War”

Air Force Magazine is starting to collect photos of Air Force Association members in a named operation or exercise, going back to Operation Desert Shield. They are in search of photos of any Active Duty, Guard, or Reserve chapter members, showing them on deployment between August 1990-2015. Photos of military/AF civilian/contractor AFA members at work at Wright-Patterson will also be considered as long as what they are doing in the photo has a direct tie to an Air Force operation or deployment. Preference is for a personal, candid, unposed, amateur photo (not a Public Affairs photo or official portraits).

If any of you have a photo to share, please email it in high resolution to: Or mail it in a sturdy envelope, and send it to: Frances McKenney, Air Force Magazine, 1501 Lee Hwy., Arlington, VA 22209. AFA National will scan the photo at high resolution and return it to you by FedEx. Please include an explanation of what’s happening in the photo. Air Force Magazine will start compiling “USAF: 25 Years at War” in late September up until November
